Meet Dr. Van Rys

Dr. Beth Van Rys, DVM

Dr. Beth was born in Nova Scotia and grew up in Iowa and Ontario. She did her undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, then completed her DVM at Ontario Veterinary College.

Since graduation she has worked in a variety of positions in veterinary medicine, from being a large animal vet, to a small animal general practitioner, to being a house call vet. The past year and half she has been living in Hawai’i working for various humane societies as a shelter vet, as well as for a small animal clinic.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs travelling, going to the beach, and hiking. She is looking forward to being part of the Carrington Animal Hospital team and providing veterinary care for Kelowna’s pets and their people!
